Dustless Refinishing
The ability to sand wood without creating dust is a service that Hoffmann Hardwood
Floors is proud to deliver to our customers. The reasons to be dustless are numerous of
course: a cleaner finished product, a healthier working environment, and a happier
customer. Our goal when refinishing a floor is to leave the working area cleaner than we
found it.
How do we do it? The JET Tools Dust Collector is a very high-powered vacuum system that connects to our tools. Hoses run from the system to all three different sanders. Although cumbersome to work with more hose, the benefits outweigh the nuances.
We also implement an Air Filtration System that is constantly cleaning the air. We can set this machine on a timer when we leave, and itʼs still cleaning when weʼre gone. This quiet machine is also used when we apply stain and finish. By inserting a charcoal filter, the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are also filtered and the nasty fumes are gone.
One of our recent challenges was to refinish the Squeeze In, Truckee in 24 hours without making a bit of dust. There was restaurant equipment everywhere that could not, no matter what, get dusty.
